I assume that, it is not viable to make Biodiesel from CPO (crude palm oil) in countries like Malaysia and Indonesia because the diesel price is subsidized by the respective goverment.
For example, diesel in Malaysia is priced at RM2.7 per litre (approximately USD 83 cents per litre or usd 3.15 per gallon) while Indonesia fares even cheaper.
However, Thailand's diesel price is Baht 44.3 per litre (approximately usd 1.31 per litre or usd4.97 per gallon)
therefore making it commercially practical to make biodiesel out of CPO. The cost of CPO in thailand is also slightly cheaper then malaysia. Is this true?
Assumming that electricity, water, manpower and rental is free, (CPO price is at USD1,079 per tonne) what is the cost of Biodiesel produced?
I have no idea how much Naoh or methanol cost, any input?
